The surroundings – Introducing Valencia
Quart Youth Hostel is located in the Ciutat Vella district of Valencia, on Calle Guillem de Castro. Its proximity to major areas of the city makes it a great base when visiting Valencia.
Just 5 minutes walking will get you to: the Barrio del Carmen, the old town, where you can stroll through the narrow streets and discover the best areas for bars, restaurants and drinking; the Central Market, where you can buy typical Valencian products, grab a fresh orange juice or just contemplate the modernist buildings with glass domes; and the market of the Plaza Redonda, to enjoy its peculiarity whilst shopping.
Right next door we have the Torres de Quart, which together with the Torres de Serrano, form the ancient gates of the walled city. You can still see the impacts in the walls made by the guns of Napoleon’s army.
Walking a further 10 minutes you will find the Plaza de la Reina, the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, or Calle Colon and Calle de la Paz, where you can visit countless historic buildings and monuments, while shopping in the best shops in town.
